WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

“The god she could outrun, but the guilt was already catching up to her.”
A God in the Shed by J-F Dubeau . Look! Looky! I’m reading! It has legitimately been nearly a month since I read anything worth mentioning. Just haven’t felt it but I felt the urge again. I bought this book not terribly long ago and, I admit, it is no what I was expecting. I had the impression it would be a historical mystery/horror/thriller and it’s not but so far it is still excellent. I was a little skittish about taking the dog out to potty in the dark last night after reading some of it. That, my friends, is good horror.
What did you recently finish reading?
“Dependence, she knew, and the longing for more than what you had, led to unhappiness and discontent.”
Born in Fire (Born In Trilogy #1) by Nora Roberts. Yup, I read a romance. Surprising, right? I’ve mentioned before that they work as a kind of pallet cleanser for me. They pull me out of reading slumps and book hangovers like a champ. I actually rather enjoy this one. A stubborn, opinionated, motivated, hard working, ambitious Irish glass blower longs for more in the world and works hard to get it. Sure, the romance in there, but watching Maggie’s hard work turn into success is very satisfying.

Because You Love to Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy
Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
I want both of these books something awful. I know I am going to end up giving in and using the last of my B&N gift card on them. SMEAGOL WANTS!
I’m really looking forward to Daughter of the Burning City! First up for me is The Night Circus – hoping that’ll get me really in the mood to continue the carnaval / circus-feels so I can dive right into DotBC!

I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I keep entering contests to win it but haven’t yet, dangit.

Goodreads contests are like winning the lottery! 😥 I got lucky – I grabbed the FairyLoot box that featured it (unbeknownst to me at the time) 🙂

I’m dying to get Daughter of the Burning City too! And I really want to give Because You Love to Hate Me a try, although I’m hoping my library gets a copy so I don’t have to buy it myself. I don’t always get along with short story anthologies, so I don’t want to risk spending money and then not liking it 😛
