WWW Wednesday – August 16

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Wicked, Wicked to the core. The city will burn forevermore.

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody . I had been wanting this book since long before it came out and I finally was able to get it. I kept entering giveaways and contests trying to get it but, alas, that was not to be. Instead, it became a birthday present to me. I’m not very far into it but I have to say it is pretty exciting. The characters are unique, the setting fascinating, and the story entertaining. No complaints here!

What did you recently finish reading?

“The god she could outrun, but the guilt was already catching up to her.”

A God in the Shed by J-F Dubeau. Sigh. I actually ended up DNFing this one at about 35%. The first 50 pages or so were so interesting it was hard to put down. Then everything came to a standstill. If there was more action in the book I feel confident I would have continued it as I was genuinely interested the basis of the story. A mini review of this book will be up soon!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Villains, the deliciously wicked. We love to hate them and they hate to be loved, if only because being hated frees them from having to be good.

Because You Love to Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy by Ameriie and company. Another book I got for my birthday! This one was from my husband. He saw me staring at it longingly at Barnes and Noble and went back to buy it for me. Sweet, right? I’ve already started reading the first story in the book but set it aside to finish Daughter of the Burning City. I can’t do two books at once like I used to. Just can’t. For right now this one is sitting on the shelf waiting for me.

Okay my beautiful people, tell me what you are reading this week!

      1. Oh no, I hope you aren’t disappointed! When I finished the book, I was actually pretty disgruntled… as in EXCUSE ME WHERE IS MORE?! I actually immediately went to Twitter and started asking Amanda Foody questions lol. Which she answered!
