WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
“You are lightning made flesh. Colder than falling snow. Unstoppable as the desert sands riding the wind. You are Stormling, Aurora Pavan. Believe it.”
Roar (Stormheart #1) by Cora Carmack . This is actually the second time I’ve started this book. The first time was when it was initially released back in June. At the time, I didn’t even make it past the first chapter. This time I have devoured over 200 pages in two days. I am completely obsessed with this story this time around. Sure, the little love story deal grinds on my nerves a bit but other than that I’m really enjoying the characters.
What did you recently finish reading?
“I would remember them forever–their names, my reasons, the way their bodies slumped in death and their eyes stared through me. If I stopped, if I let their deaths weigh me down and keep me from being Opal, it was all for nothing. There was no going back. I was what I was, and they were a part of me now.”
Mask of Shadows (Untitled #1) by Linsey Miller. I admit, this book took me over a month to finish. I got about half way through and just stopped reading. The book itself was interesting, but the flow jumped around in places. The love story also got a little awkward at the end. I’m perfectly happy with a romantic aspect when it furthers the story but this one just got weighty.
What do you think you’ll read next?
“You’ll be a rumor. A whisper. The thought that wakes the bastards of this world sweating in the nevernight. The last thing you will ever be, girl, is someone’s hero.”
Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1) by Jay Kristoff . I have been wanting to read this one for some time. It is one of those few books that I feel the need to own and not just borrow from the library like I do with most books. I’m keeping my eye out for a good sale. Fingers crossed that something pops up soon.
What books have you been reading?
I can’t wait for you to read Nevernight!!! It’s so freaking good.

I can’t either. I’ve hardly seen a bad word about that book. I’m going to give in and get it from the library before long, I’m sure.

I hope you’re enjoying Roar. I’ve heard some mixed reviews of it.

I finished it earlier today and I absolutely loved it. Sure, it had its issues, but the entertainment factor was definitely there.
