WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
“You’ll be a rumor. A whisper. The thought that wakes the bastards of this world sweating in the nevernight. The last thing you will ever be, girl, is someone’s hero.”
Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1) by Jay Kristoff . I just got started on this book and I can already tell I am going to lose a bit of sleep from it. It is a tough one to put down! Kristoff’s writing has a different flow to it than most of the books I’ve read but it works and works well. Not to mention I’m in a mood from some of the stabstabstab that is promised in these pages.
What did you recently finish reading?
“No tragedies here, Roar. This world will make you a victim every chance it gets. Don’t let it.”
Roar (Stormheart #1) by Cora Carmack. I enjoyed this book far more than I thought I would. It is billed as a Ya fantasy romance and that just didn’t sound quite my speed. Luckily, I picked it up anyway. This was a wonderful book. Were there a few little issues with it? Sure. But overall it has been one of my favorite reads of the year.
What do you think you’ll read next?
“Hope could not outlast the breather. Love, however . . . Love was something not even death could conquer, because at the end of everything, even life, he was hers.”
Invictus by Ryan Graudin. I very much want to read this but, not going to lie, whether I want to or not I probably won’t read it next. Why? The library doesn’t have it in and I don’t have that “new hardback” money right now. Maybe I’ll make a few visits to the book store and read it little by little from one of the stock books.
Feel free to leave your WWW Wednesday links in the comments. Let me know what you are reading!
Nevernight is on my want to read soon list (maybe someday I’ll eventually get to it) so I’m very glad to hear you’re already enjoying it.
I wasn’t mad keen on Roar, it was all a bit too familiar to me, but then I suspect that’s because I read far too many of these types of books. I’ve literally just finished Invictus though and would definitely recommend. I absolutely loved it.

Maybe you can get on the holds list for Invictus, or ask your library to order it if they don’t have it at all? Mine usually does that!

I asked them to buy a copy of Invictus for circulation but so far no dice.
