WWW Wednesday – November 7th

WWWWednesday

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Renegades

Secret Identities. Extraordinary Powers. She wants vengeance. He wants justice.

Renegades (Renegades #1) by Marissa Meyer. Did this just come out on the 7th? Sure did. Did I rush home when I got the alert that it had been delivered? Did that, too. Meyer’s books have been a little hit or miss for me but the premise for this one sounded so good that I had to jump on that bandwagon. Tootoot! Let me tell you, when I opened the box for this one up I was stunned by the cover. It is absolutely beautiful. I just started reading it so no definitive opinions yet but I’m very excited for this book.

“Redefining oneself is something we all have to do … The only person who could ever set bounds on you should be yourself.”

The Burning Page by Genevieve Cogman. I finished this book a few days ago and while it was good it still left me wanting. I thought that there was a lot of loose ends dangling and, while I know the next book in the series is coming out, I just thought it was too much. A few little things left unresolved is one thing but nearly every single issue was left blowing in the wind. Is the series still worth a read? Yes. Absolutely. But be prepared for some irritation.

“On everyone’s lap rested a book. Any book. In case the wedding got boring.”

My Lady Jane (The Lady Janies #1) by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. Guys, I love that quote. We’ve all been to a wedding where we have wanted to escape away. Where better to escape to than into the pages of a book? Cheapest vacation you could ever find. Anyway, I have been seeing a ton about this book lately. Since it was published over a year ago that is a little odd but either way, I’m jonesing to read it. Whose with me? Huh?

Have you read any of these picks? What did you think of them?
