WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
“And that’s how you go on. You lay laughter over the dark parts. The more dark parts, the more you have to laugh. With defiance, with abandon, with hysteria, any way you can.”
I’ve almost finished this audiobook and I have to say that I have enjoyed most of it. There is one character that I am truly hoping gets offed by the end but I’m not holding out much hope. To my surprise, I’m even enjoying to romance part of this. It isn’t thrown in as filler as romance in fantasy so often is, but here it serves a purpose I can appreciate.
What did you recently finish reading?
“Fitzroy stood over the body, his arms rigid at his sides, a bloody dagger in each hand. His loose hair fell to his eyes in ragged tangles. He was covered in blood, some of it probably his, and looked very much like an avenging devil”
A while back I picked this e-book up on a whim while it was being offered as a free Nook book. Opening it the other night, I really wasn’t expecting much. Many of the free Nook books are free for a reason and it isn’t because of high quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This book was well written, had good flow, and a solid story. There were a couple aspects I wasn’t so fond of but I will get into that when I write up the review.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Okay, I don’t have this yet, but I have high hopes. It came up as requestable on Netgalley and I have an excellent feedback ratio with them so hopefully I get accepted for it. I want this book. Sure, the description sounds similar to other YA fantasy books I’ve read, but that wouldn’t make it any less good.
What are you all reading this week? Any good recommendations?
I am reading The Seven 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, Your current and next read both are on my TBR 🙂
