WWW Wednesday – April 24

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

“She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah J. Maas . I don’t know how I keep getting sucked into these. Every time I finish a book in this series I go, “Well, I won’t be read the next one. It is just not worth it.” Then there I sit with a 650 page book shouting at Aelin to stop being such a dunce.

Talk of dark spirits, missing children, and magic abound. As Sal heads north toward their ruined homeland and the lords who destroyed everything, they learn secrets and truths that can’t be ignored

Ruin of Stars (Mask of Shadows #2) by Linsey Miller . I opened my mail one day and there this ARC was, sitting in my dusty little mailbox just waiting to be read. I was pretty excited to get my hands on a copy of it because I very much enjoyed Mask of Shadows (Mask of Shadows #1). I’m not too far into it yet but the story is definitely interesting although, I admit, I’m having trouble getting through it because as I mentioned that this is an ARC and the final edits haven’t happened yet. Typos and sentence fragments run amock. Sometimes I can ignore them and move forward, sometimes I can’t.

What did you recently finish reading?

“She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.”

Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) by Sarah J. Maas. You remember I mentioned that each time I finish one of these books I swear I won’t read the next one? Yup. I thought Heir of Fire deserved 3.5/5 at BEST but dang if I’m still not emotionally invested in what happens to these people. DORIAN.

What do you think you’ll read next?

“He was hers and she was his and they had found each other across centuries of bloodshed and loss, across oceans and kingdoms and war.”

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5) by Sarah J. Maas. I am not even going to try to kid myself this time. I know when I finish Queen of Shadows I will be running for Empire of Storms. I won’t be able to help myself.

Hello everyone! Thanks for joining me this Wednesday. I’m still on a semi-haitus but I hope to be back completely with new content for you all soon. Until then, happy reading!
