WWW Wednesday – May 9

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Life is made of so many moments that mean nothing. Then one day, a single moment comes along to define every second that comes after. Such moments are tests of courage, of strength.

An Ember in the Ashes (Ember Quartet #1) by Sabaa Tahir . I borrowed this book on Libby over the weekend and haven’t had a lot of time to read it but, what I have read, I have fallen in love. The store has a nice flow and I feel the need to know what happens to the characters. So many of the books I’ve read lately haven’t had that pull so it is so refreshing to find this one.

What did you recently finish reading?

Stars flickered around us, sweet darkness sweeping in. As if we were the only souls in a galaxy.

A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas . My review for this book is going up on May 12th but, let me tell you right now, this book is such trash. I say that for two reasons. 1) I am trash for this series and would read the books no matter what Maas served up. Finding out what was happening with these characters was a satisfying bridge between the previous books and the upcoming ones. 2) This book is such trash. It is constant hormones and whinging and if I had to read about Rhysand wanting to bone his mate one more time I was going to throw up in my mouth a little.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Jess had never imagined that someone would be so empty that they’d need to destroy something that precious to feel full.

Ink and Bone (The Great Library #1) by Rachel Caine . I’ve had this one on hold with my local library for some time waiting for it to come in and it should come in later this week. I can’t wait to read it. I stumbled across the book on someone else’s blog sometime last week and nothing would do but I read it. Sounds fantastic and I can’t wait.

This week my copy of Royal Bastards was also delivered and I’m looking forward to starting on that as well. What books have you been reading? Any recommendations?
