WWW Wednesday – May 23

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

There are three parts to learning: information, knowledge and wisdom, A mere accumulation of information is not knowledge, and a treasure of knowledge is not in itself, wisdom.

Ink and Bone (The Great Library #1) by Rachel Caine . I waited for over a month for this to come into my local library. Guess what? It never did. I finally got on the wonderful Libby app and requested it and got it within two days. WOOHOO! I’m about halfway through and so far I’m highly entertained. The writing is engaging and the story moving quickly. The premise of this story has really pulled me in. Can’t wait to finish it! I’ve already requested the second book in the series. Maybe the library will get it in this time.

What did you recently finish reading?

Your emotions make you human. Even the unpleasant ones have a purpose. Don’t lock them away. If you ignore them, they just get louder and angrier.

A Torch Against the Night (Ember Quartet #2) by Sabaa Tahir. GASP! SHOCK! I loved this book. Loved it. I want to make a shrine for this series. I’ll sacrifice legos to it or something. We have so many legos and those suckers really hurt to step on. My review will be up on May 26th where I more or less gush about it for 750 words.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The heart he’d offered and had been left to drop on the wooden planks of the river docks. An assassin who had sailed away and a queen who had returned

Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass #6) by Sarah J. Maas . Ugh. I know. I know. Here I am again with another Maas both. I honestly didn’t think I’d be reading Tower of Dawn, I know I say that with every book in this series but this time I really meant it! Seriously! However, Danielle @ Life of a Literary Nerd told me that this one is worth a read even if I wasn’t a fan of Chaol. Really, it didn’t take much convincing. I am such a bookish pushover.

That is it for this Wednesday! I hope you are all having a great day and feel free to leave your own WWW links in the comments.

  1. Hmm I can understand your feelings on Maas. I loved the first few books but I’m starting to find them a struggle. Tower of Dawn is better, it’s a much simpler story, but it’s too bloomin long. I have to confess I still haven’t finished it. I’ve read everything but the last couple of pages. It would take me like 5 mins but just can’t motivate myself to do it.
