WWW Wednesday | February 20

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The other night I watched the latest episode of Sherlock, and by latest I mean it aired in 2017. I had put off watching it because I knew it would be a long while before we would get another. Once it had finished, I wanted to read Sherlock fiction. I have the entire collection of the original Holmes stories but I needed something new. Meltotheany had graced this book with four stars so I decided to give it a shot. I picked it up from the library today and am only a couple chapters in but I am enjoying it. Certainly more modern and realistic than I usually go for but so far, good stuff.

What did you recently finish reading?

This book was the most magnificent thing I’ve ever read. I want to read it again, and again, and again. I haven’t typed up the review yet (hopefully I’ll be able to show you why soon) but when I do, to say it will be glowing will be an understatement. I’m sold for anything Novik publishes and I’m already requested more of her work from the library. Such a perfect, glorious, dark retelling of the Rumplestilskin (boy, that is hard to spell) story told in a way that feels like a classic fairy tale.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I hadn’t heard of this book until very recently but, now that I have, I want to read it. You don’t see phoenixes in stories very often, especially since Harry Potter, and I’m glad to see one making an appearance again. Can’t deny that the description gives me a Dragonriders of Perf vibe, in a good way. I’ll guess we will find out.

That is it for this Wednesday! I hope you all are reading books you love. If you’d like a chat, hit me up in the comments.
