WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
When I first started Literary Weaponry a couple years ago I had Red Queen on my TBR. Since that time it had been purged, probably in one of my Down the TBR Hole posts. But, for whatever reason, I felt the urge to pick it up yesterday. You know what? I’m loving it. It is a little cliche? Sure. Predictable? I see that. But I don’t care. I’m enjoying reading it and that is all that matters to me.
I have tried reading a physical copy of this and the asides drove me up a wall so I put it down. Then I tried the ebook and I just couldn’t get into it. So, finally, I’m giving the audiobook a shot. God, am I bored. I want to love this story and these characters but it is so damn boring. I’m around 25% in. Someone tell me it picks up because I don’t want to have wasted so much time trying to read this thing.
What did you recently finish reading?
I was lucky enough to get an eARC of this book and, even though Ace of Shades certainly wasn’t one of my favorite reads, I found myself really enjoying the story. Well, most of it. This book is split into two part and the first part is fantastic! The second part? Well, I could have done without it. Overall I gave this book a 4/5
What do you think you’ll read next?
You know, with as much as I am loving Red Queen I fully expecting myself to pick up the next book of the series immediately. In fact, I’m going to go ahead right now and reserve it at the library so that it will be available as soon as I am ready.

Thats it for this week. Happy reading!
Amanda I hope that i’ll have more luck with Nevernight! And the Red Queen series was up and down and up for me!

I hope you have better luck as well! I want to love Nevernight so badly but it just isn’t doing it for me and that just makes me sad.

I’m very curious of how Red Queen will turn out for you! I’m not gonna read it personally, but I’m ready for seeing the result 🙂

It just makes me chuckle because I had absolutely no intention of reading it. Even when I read reviews of it now in my head I’m going, “Blah, that sounds awful.” Maybe I’m in the mood for awful? Hah!

LOL you never know what you’re in the mood for until you start reading something. At least that’s how it is for me

Red Queen does seem to have a bad rep for some reason but I really liked it. I mean there are a few things are kind of familiar but it’s so much better than the reviews would make you think. I hope you continue to enjoy.
