WWWWednesday

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

As much as I enjoyed Red Queen, I jumped right into Glass Sword which I picked up from my local library. You can tell this book has been well read by a lot of people which always makes me happy. The story so far, however? Not so much. Mare just drives me bonkers. She makes such bad decisions even when the consequences are smacking her in the face. Not to mention there is so much of the speaking-entire-thoughts-with-just-a-look nonsense. That makes me have a hard eye roll. Still, I feel like the story will get better as I’m only around 100 pages in so far. Will definitely keep reading.

What did you recently finish reading?

I really enjoyed this book even though I can admit that it had some issues. The pacing was touch and go and the girl on girl temper fights were just ridiculous. As a whole, though, I did enjoy this book quite a bit and gave it a solid 4 stars. Which is why I immediately picked up the next book of the series!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I really enjoyed Ash Princess when I read it last year and bought Lady Smoke as soon as it came out February 5th. Of course, since then it has sat on my shelf. I’m hoping I’ll be motivated to pick this one up next because I really do want to know what happens next to Theodosia!

I’m writing this 3/4 asleep so I make no claims to grammatical correctness. There are so many boson my owned TBR that I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be reading next but Lady Smoke certainly pulls at me. Hope you are all enjoying your current read!

  1. I swear no one uses the YA section of my library, I’m usually the first person to get any book out.

Red Queen is definitely not perfect but I found it an enjoyable read too, Glass Sword does take a bit of time to get going but is also pretty good. I just finished Lady Smoke on Monday night and it is pretty bloomin great. I thought it was better than the first book so I hope you get the chance to read it.
