WWWWednesday

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Okay, I wouldn’t so much say “currently reading” for this as much as “I just grabbed this off my shelf three minutes ago and decided I would read it next.” Reviews seemed to be scattered on this book so I’m going into it with an open mind. Isn’t that odd how that happens? When a book has largely glowing reviews you start it with higher expectations whether you mean to or not. When the reviews are more mixed I feel like I have a more open mind when I pick it up. We’ll see which was the pendulum swings for this book!

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading this book only this morning and I have to say that I fell in love. From the first few pages I was swept up in in the story and cared very much about the characters. I loved watching as our main character, Camille, discovers the depths of her magic and the lengths she is willing to go to in order to make a better life for her and her sister and what happens when she gets drug in too deeply. This is very much a historical fantasy, heavy on the historical, and it was absolutely wonderful.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Here is another book with very mixed early reviews but, really, how could I not read a gender bent futuristic Arthurian fantasy with a young Merlin and LGBT rep? No part of that does not sound appealing. Not to mention that cover is fierce. I hope it is just as fabulous in person as it is on my computer screen.

I hope that you are all having a lovely week and happy reading!
