Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they provide a topic and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. You don’t have to do all ten. Instead you can do three, five, fifteen, whatever you want. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.
This week’s theme is Books From My Favorite Genre. I haven’t been doing many of the Top Ten Tuesday posts lately but I felt like this one was too good to pass up. My favorite genre is SFF and there are so many wonderful books that fall under that heading to choose from! The below are provided without context outside of their, of course, gloriousness.
- A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab
- Invictus by Ryan Graudin
- An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes #1) by Sabaa Tahir
- Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
- A Curse so Dark and Lonely (A Curse so Dark and Lonely #1) by Brigid Kemmerer
- The Bone Seasons (The Bone Season #1) by Samantha Shannon
- The Kingdom of Copper (The Daevabad Trilogy #2) by S.A. Chakraborty
- The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1) by R.F. Kuang
- Golden Son (Red Rising #2) by Pierce Brown

If you want to see why any of these books make my list you can click my linked reviews. Granted, some of them are a few years old and I think I’ve gotten better at writing review since then so proceed with caution. I love you all and hope you have the loveliest of days.
Four of the books on your list are also on my list of favorites! Love An Ember in the Ashes, A Curse So Dark and Lonely, The Kingdom of Copper, and The Poppy War.

All four of those are absolutely fantastic and so very different from each other. I love it.

Great list! Spinning Silver made my list this year, too, and A Curse So Dark and Lonely, The Poppy War and The City of Brass are all on my TBR. I need to try The Bone Season and Invictus, too!

The Bone Season makes my Top Five All Time list. The start is a little “what the heck is going on here” but after that it is absolutely gold. Not that I try to sell everybody on it or anything. 🙂

I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t read the third book of the series yet. I really need to to because the first two are nothing short of miraculous

Loved Invictus last year. I wish there was more in that world. I’m currently reading A Darker Shade of Magic and loving it. Great list – here’s My Top Ten Tuesday

I kid you not, I sometimes have actual sleeping dreams about the Invictus world. It is just absolutely fabulous. I keep hoping that Graudin will drop little “where are they now” tidbits about the characters. I need more!
