2019 has been a great year so far for book releases. Fantasy lovers are still talking about Wicked King which released in January, February’s The Priory of the Orange Tree, and the surprise hit A Curse so Dark and Lonely. The rest of the year has many more books hitting shelves which are sure to catch our collective attention. Here are the ones I can’t wait to get my hands on.

- Spin the Dawn (The Blood of Stars #1) by Elizabeth Lim
August
- Rage (Stormheart #2) by Cora Carmack
- The Dragon Republic (The Poppy War #2) by R.F. Kuang
- House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig
September
- Capturing the Devil (Stalking Jack the Ripper #4) by Kerri Maniscalco
- Darkdawn (The Nevernight Chronicle #3) by Jay Kristoff
- Gideon the Ninth (The Ninth House #1) by Tamsyn Muir
October
- The Beautiful (The Beautiful #1) by Renee Ahdieh
- The Never Tilting World (The Never Tilting World #1) by Ron Chupeco
- Crier’s War (Crier’s War #1) by Nina Varela
November
- The Guinevere Deception (Camelot Rising #1) by Kiersten White
- The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
- Supernova (Renegades #3) by Marissa Meyer

Are you excited about any of these upcoming releases? I have several of them already preordered and can’t wait to have them in my hands. What book are you most anticipating for the second half of the year?
The Starless Sea is definitely exciting. Need to read Poppy War!!!

Definitely read Poppy War. It is a little violent (okay, a lot) and there is a considerable amount of possibly triggering content but if those are things you can get past it is one of the best books I have ever had the privilege to read.

That sounds right up my alley. Definitely adding it to my very very near future TBR 😊

Doesn’t it? I’ve been a little hit or miss liking White’s books but there is no way I won’t be picking Guinevere up!

Same! I read “And I Darken” and liked/didn’t like it and didn’t wish to continue the series. I want to read her “Slayer” book because I think her writing’s good, but I’m also hesitant since I love the Buffy-verse and I don’t want to be let down. But I absolutely am with you, can’t pass this one up!

Yes! I need the vampires! There has been a Lestat sized hole in my heart for years and I need more vampire stories to fill it. I’m anxious to see what Jay Kristoff is going to do with his vampire series, too.
