WWW Wednesday | September 18

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Capturing the Devil (Stalking Jack the Ripper # 4) by Kerri Maniscalco – This book has been drawing me since the moment I tucked it away on my shelves. So, when the opportunity arose, of course I picked it up. While the first three books in the series were enjoyable they didn’t blow me away but I have been waiting with great anticipation for this one. I read Devil in the White City a couple of years ago and was entranced by the story of H. H. Holmes. I am currently just over 100 pages into this and am very much looking forward to seeing Maniscalco’s take on the Holmes story. So far there has been a great deal of romance but I’m sure that will change very soon.

Darkdawn (The Nevernight Chronicle #3) by Jay Kristoff – Right now I’m just over 60% through this book and I just wish it was over. I am bored. You can see what is coming a mile away, the characters have become painfully predictable, the plot is just trudging along like it is being dragged through mud, and I am just utterly bored. Will I finish this series or DNF on the last book? I guess we will see.

What did you recently finish reading?

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – I absolutely loved this book. We had a brave, intelligent, and unconventional female lead, a story that just kept on surprising me and was utterly enjoyable, and side characters that just made our lead Elisabeth shine even brighter. This was a great read!

What do you think you’ll read next?

There Will Come a Darkness (The Age of Darkness #1) by Katy Rose Pool – Oh yes, I will hop on that hype train and ride it all the way back to the station. Choo Choo! This book has been getting a lot of attention and the more I look at it the more I want it. I love all the dark little fantasy stories that have been coming out lately and I can’t wait to dig my nails into this one.

I’m so happy to be back to reading and to blogging after August being the turmoil that it was. It is so nice to even be able to look at a book and feel the desire to read it. I hope you all are enjoying every story that you pick up.
