WWW Wednesday | December 4

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell #1) by Deanna Raybourn – This is one of the very first books I reviewed after starting Literary Weaponry. The fifth book in this series is set to release soon and I have found myself wanting to reread the previous installments. So, here we are. I’m ditching my previously aforementioned December TBR (no surprise there) and instead beginning my Speedwell reread!

What did you recently finish reading?

Courting Darkness (Courting Darkness Duology #1) by Robin LaFevers – I ended up reading this as a mix of audio and physical book and while it was not entirely what I was expecting I still enjoyed it. This story is written in two perspectives and while both had their high and low points, the chapters featuring Sybella were more difficult for me to focus on. She had a more reserved personality which was perfectly fitting to the story itself but it just didn’t ring my bells. 3.5/5

What do you think you’ll read next?

A Perilous Undertaking (Veronica Speedwell #2) by Deanna Raybourn – Above I mentioned that I wanted to reread the Veronica Speedwell series so next I intend to read the second book in that series. I don’t own this one (although I wish I did) so I have already checked it out from the library in anticipation of reading it. If you love a good Victorian mystery with a fierce female lead, fascinating support cast, and with just a dash of romance then I highly recommend Raybourn’s books!

  1. December is a great time to re-read books you enjoy. Hope you like the series the second time around and that the new installment doesn’t enjoy. Happy reading! 🙂
