WWW Wednesday | May 20

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alex E. Harrow – This book may have come out a year ago but it is a recent purchase for me. The reviews had been very polarizing, love it or hate it, so I had put off picking up this title. But, I have to say, I started reading this last night and I am enjoying it immensely. The writing is a little flowery but I tend to enjoy that kind of thing. Only a few chapters in but so far I’m very pleased.

Invictus by Ryan Graudin – To date I’ve read this book probably four or five times. I just love it and honestly I think I love it more everytime I read it. Adventure through time, an entertaining crew, and high stakes make for an unputdownable story. I’ve read it so many times now that when I pick Invictus up it feels more like I’m spending time with old friends instead of reading. Such a good feeling.

What did you recently finish reading?

Bone Criers Moon (Bone Grace #1) by Kathryn Purdie – I truly enjoyed this book and gave it a very solid 4/5. The writing flowed and was easy to get absorbed in, the characters changed and evolved throughout the story, and the underlying plot was something that I haven’t seen recycled through YA a dozen times. Overall this was a great read and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series coming out.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (The Hunger Games #0) by Suzanne Collins – I’ve been on a fence about whether or not I want to read this and I think I’ve finally decided that I want to. I enjoyed the original trilogy well enough if we leave out a few bits of the last book so giving this a shot seems like a decent enough idea…as long as I can get it from the library or something. Have you seen the price of this book? I don’t even own the original trilogy, I’m not paying that much for a one off.

That is a wrap for this Wednesday! I hope you all are doing well, staying safe, and enjoying life. Happy reading!
