I have found that there is a very little more exciting for an avid reader than the anticipation of a good book release. You know that tingling pull from behind your belly button that urges you to just preorder it along with the excitement of the title finally showing up at your door. I love that feeling. I love opening my planner and seeing those titles that excite me release dates coming closer. Here are the titles I’m looking most forward to for fall 2020.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab – Of course I’m excited for this book. Everyone is excited for this book. Not only do I enjoy Schwab’s writing but the plot really reaches out and grabs me. I preordered the OwlCrate special edition box for this one (ouch on that shipping cost) and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! October 6
The Silvered Serpents (The Gilded Wolves #2) by Roshani Chokshi – Then I read The Gilded Wolves I very much enjoyed the story, plot, characters, and the writing style. It just kind of worked for me. When publication of The Silvered Serpents got delayed I was upset but now the time has come and I can finally see what this motley crew is up to now! September 22
Queen of Volts (The Shadow Game #3) by Amanda Foody – While I didn’t enjoy the first book in this series terribly much the second one had me on the edge of my seat! I have been looking forward to seeing how everything wraps up in this trilogy and hopefully get just as engrossed in this book as I did the second one. September 1
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire (Blood and Ash #2) by Jennifer Armentrout – After the surprise release of From Blood and Ash earlier in 2020 I was not expecting its sequel just a few short months after! Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled. I loved the first book. It was everything I love about YA fantasy down to the dark little secrets hiding in the dark. I cannot wait to read this next installment. It is just what this miserable excuse for a year needs. September 1
Beyond the Ruby Veil (Beyond the Ruby Veil #1) by Mara Fitzgerald – This book’s description has me all kinds of interested. Dark, queer, antihero, YA fantasy. Sign me right on up! The words “tiny chaos lesbian” were also used by the author herself to describe a lead character. Oh yes please. I can’t wait for this. I think it will be wonderful. October 13
A Sky Beyond the Storm (An Ember in the Ashes #4) by Sabaa Tahir – Look. Do I really need to say anything about this book? No? I didn’t think so. I want this. I want it so much. GIVE IT TO ME. December 1

There are obviously hundreds of books being released in the coming months and please boo boo, read as much as you can, but these are the ones that call to me the most. I can’t wait to jump into these stories and devour them! Fall is such a wonderful time for books. Happy reading, everyone!
SERIOUSLY A Sky Beyond the Storm!! I just finished Reaper again for the second time and I am SO ready for the next one lol. Silvered Serpents is really good too š it has many great Enrique, Zofia and Hypnos moments

I really need more Sofia and Hypnos in my life. Cannot wait to dive back into that world. I have been considering rereading Gilded Wolves first but I’m not sure I’m patient enough for that.

I did listen to it again and I’m glad I did! There were some plot details I had missed and I think having it fresh in my mind helped for the sequel š I feel like I have no memory for series sometimes lol :p
