WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?

Nocturna (A Forgery of Magic #1) by Maya Motayne – I am currently reading this book as part of the Dragons and Tea Book Club (September 2020 pick) and am 94 pages in. My feelings so far are a little conflicted. On one hand I can see the story simmering beneath the surface and how I think the author viewed it. On the other hand…the characters are shallow, the plot is barely moving, and I don’t even see the purpose of one of the main characters who some chapters follow. There is still plenty of time for things to come together but for right now I have little hope. My notes feature things such as, “HE IS SUCH A CHILD” and “DUMB!”
What did you recently finish reading?

The Empire of Gold (The Daevabad Trilogy #3) by S.A. Chakraborty – I think that this is the best conclusion to a series I have ever read. Everything is tidied up at the end, everything makes sense, the characters do not suddenly take a huge 180 to further the plot…it is just wonderful. If you haven’t read this trilogy yet I don’t know what you are waiting for. It is magic and Chakraborty is a magnificent story teller.
What do you think you’ll read next?

A Kingdom of Flech and Fire (Blood and Ash #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout – Oh yeah. Definitely reading this next. I didn’t even realize it was out yet! I know the first book in the series had a surprise release but did this one, too? Did I miss something? I don’t know, but, either way, this one is up next. I loved From Blood and Ash and can’t wait to hop back on these character’s disaster train.

I hope you are all doing wonderfully this week. Wear a mask, wash your hands, and keep reading. ❤️
I tried Nocturna as well and felt exactly the same way. I was hoping to get into it more but it fell really flat…I still also need to finish city of brass! One day I will 🙂
