WWW Wednesday | March 9

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Only a Monster (Monsters #1) by Vanessa Len – I’ll be up front with you all, this book really held no interest for me. However, it came in two separate subscription boxes this year and it made me feel like I had to read it. Currently I am about halfway through and, well, I’m not exactly impressed. The female lead is overly dramatic and won’t listen to reason and sense to save her life. She is driving me nuts and she has one of her screaming melt downs at least once a chapter and I’m finding it difficult to keep reading. Currently about half way through.

What did you recently finish reading?

A Hunt of Shadows (A Trial of Sorcerers #2) by Elise Kova – I was looking forward to this book so much. I loved the first book in A Trial of Sorcerers and felt like the characters were left with such room to grow and develop. Instead, the lead character regressed to a singularly obsessed, selfish individual who lacked all common sense or empathy. The support characters were all cookie cutters of each other with different names, the pushed not quite romance was entirely unbelievable, and I just wanted to punch that lead girl in the face. She made me furious.

What do you think you’ll read next?

A Far Wilder Magic by Allison Saft – This title just released on March 8th and my copy has thankfully come in the mail! With shipping lately you just never know. A Far Wilder Magic is categorized as a young adult fantasy romance with magical realism. So, everything I love, right? Early reviews for this title have been absolutely glowing and I am itching to dive in and see what all the fuss is about. I love me a good fantasy romance.

My reading choices so far in March have been real duds but I’m hoping A Far Wilder Magic will save the day! What are you looking forward to reading next?

Happy reading! 🖤
