2nd Quarter Wrap Up

I don’t know if it is because I am busier than I have been in quite some time or because I have a Big Thing coming up that I am focusing or what is going on but I swear to you this year is going by more quickly than any have before. Maybe it is getting older that is making me feel that way. What I do know is that I have continued to read more in 2021 than I ever have before in my life.

Let’s take a trip together back over the last three months of reading and see, well, what there is to see!

Mid Year Freakout Tag | 2021

It is time once again for that most sacred of book blogging activities, the Mid Year Freak Out Tag. Now, I’ve done this every year since I started Literary Weaponry and I have to admit my answers each year are nothing short of laughable. I just looked back on the last few years and not only does my post style change but apparently my tastes see-saw widely as well. What a joy. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be happening this year so for the next two months I’m going to try setting myself a more strict TBR in hopes of getting these books reviews as I have promised I would do.

Upcoming Preorders That Spark Joy

You frequently hear authors talking about how preorders help them when their book is released. Their accumulated preorders leading up to the book’s release date all count toward sales during that first week which can help make or break that book’s performance or whether or not the author gets to continue writing that series or if they get a new contract with that publisher. Preorders are important to them and today I’d like to highlight some of the books that I currently have preordered for the remainder of 2021.

Most Anticipated Releases | Second Quarter 2021

2021 is turning out to be a year of spectacular book releases. The first quarter brought us reads such as The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon, We Free the Stars by Hafsah Faizal, and A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas all of which were high up on my anticipated reads list. The second quarter looks like it will be filled with even more phenomenal releases! Here are some second quarter releases I am most looking forward to.
